Last generation test, easy to perform, able to identify by specific antibodies the presence of tricomonas in only 10 to 20 minutes. The test has been validated by external studies and found to have a sensitivity of over 96.5% and specificity of over 95.6% when compared with reference methods for microbes identification such as BD Affirm, USA; the relative specificity is 97.3% when compared to the traditional microbiology. The vaginitis due to trichomonas vaginalis represents approx 5-10% of vaginal infections and 50% of infected woman is asymptomatic.
